1. The Route 66 Centennial
2026 is the 100 year anniversary of the iconic Americana “Route 66” that spanned 8 states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. WAMN will be stationed in various towns along this route, highlighting the true history of overlooked towns with the creation of I-70.
2. The Independent Film Initiative
WAMN, a film-focused organization, is always looking for ways to involve the youth and young, independent creators from around world. We plan to bring creatives to parts of the United States to create for cities who need a creative class.
3. Tulsa’s Sister City, Utsunomiya
Tulsa’s sister city, Utsunomiya, Japan is a city known for jazz, dumplings, and history. Since 1992, this partnership has helped maintain our country’s diplomacy with Japan. In 2026, WAMN aims to launch a collaborative effort to fortify this relationship.
